the engineering supervisor will be responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing technical operations within a metal-focused manufacturing environment. This role requires approximately 10 years of engineering experience, including proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Design experience is considered a strong asset.
key responsibilities
* supervise and coordinate the daily activities of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
* manage engineering projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with production goals, timelines, and quality standards.
* apply expertise in metal fabrication processes to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
* collaborate with cross-functional departments including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve technical challenges.
* review and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications.
* support design and development efforts for new or customized products.
* ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures.
* mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field.
* minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including supervisory or team leadership roles.
* strong background in metals and metalworking processes.
* proficiency in cad software and engineering tools.
* excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
preferred
* hands-on design experience in a manufacturing setting.
* familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
