* correctly evaluate required volumes and ensure delivery of materials.
* understand and manage risks to avoid impact on production lines.
* utilize the mrp system to ensure information is adequate and resolve any problems encountered.
* monitor inventory levels against agreed levels.
* minimize obsolete inventory and ensure that the business has minimal liability to suppliers.
* report and analyze what is distributed throughout the organization to maintain the operation.
* determine material requirements and generate purchase orders.
* schedule and supervise delivery of materials and prepare efficiency reports.
