Senior software development engineer in test role
we are seeking a seasoned software development engineer in test with 3-5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, system integration testing, and quality engineering for web applications and microservices.
responsibilities:
* automation framework development: design, develop, and execute automation test frameworks using selenium, cucumber, and postman to ensure seamless test coverage.
* collaboration and communication: work closely with developers and qa teams to implement bdd/tdd practices and ensure effective collaboration for successful project outcomes.
* system integration testing: perform thorough system integration testing for complex web applications and microservices to guarantee their stability and efficiency.
* test data management: effectively manage test data and create reusable test scripts to support continuous testing and improve overall test efficiency.
* testing and validation: conduct manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, and regression, ensuring the highest level of quality.
* accessibility compliance: ensure accessibility compliance using tools such as jaws to guarantee an inclusive user experience.
* api and web services testing: utilize tools such as soapui for api and web services testing to ensure their reliability and security.
* ci/cd pipeline integration: integrate test suites into ci/cd pipelines (jenkins) for continuous quality assurance and streamlined delivery.
* test execution and results tracking: track, manage, and report test execution and results using zephyr and other test management tools to inform decision-making.
* quality improvement: drive quality improvements by identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and mentoring junior qa engineers to foster a culture of excellence.
requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience as an sdet or qa automation engineer.
* strong knowledge of manual and automation testing for web and microservices applications.
* hands-on experience with selenium, cucumber, postman, soapui, and zephyr.
* solid understanding of bdd, tdd, and agile/scrum methodologies.
* experience with ci/cd pipelines using jenkins or similar tools.
* knowledge of accessibility testing standards and tools (jaws preferred).
* excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
* strong communication and collaboration abilities.
