Senior financial analyst
this role is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial insights, payment support, and analysis for the music royalties work stream.
you will develop deep competencies in this area, providing business stakeholders with the required information for decision making.
key responsibilities:
* manage the payment processing lifecycle from set-up through to payment, resolving questions from both internal and external parties.
* serve as the primary point of contact for audit requests, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and participant audits.
* establish and maintain a tracking system to ensure quick determination of all payments due to participants.
* collaborate with department leadership to develop weekly plans for priority areas and present to other department members to ensure alignment.
* configure contracts in the music royalties system, capturing relevant data points accurately.
* participate in stakeholder meetings and others required to successfully complete assigned activities.
* support ad hoc analysis and financial data requests as needed, generating valuable insights.
* maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality financial information on a timely basis to business fp&a.
* build strong relationships with business partner fp&a teams to facilitate information sharing and knowledge transfer.
* contribute to the development of systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficient and accurate forecasting and analysis.
* drive process simplification initiatives across the organization.
* collaborate across boundaries, sharing best practices with other fp&a teams.
* participate in meetings with business finance partners to understand forecast drivers and present prepared forecast and analysis data.
qualifications & experience:
* at least 4 years' experience in forecasting and analysis.
* strong english verbal and written communication skills are essential.
* proficiency in excel and other data analysis techniques is required.
* demonstrated experience in financial modeling is necessary.
* critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential.
* the ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners is crucial.
* experience working efficiently with high volumes of data under strict deadlines is necessary.
preferred qualifications:
* a solid understanding of the entertainment industry is preferred.
* strong accounting knowledge is beneficial.
* experience with essbase, sap, or tableau is a plus.
