role description the senior accountant is a full‑time, on‑site role based in guanajuato, gua, responsible for overseeing and executing key accounting activities for boa bellows technology de mexico. This role manages general ledger entries, monthly and year‑end closings, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with local and corporate standards. The senior accountant will monitor budgets, support forecasting, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to management. Daily responsibilities include ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, coordinating audits, maintaining internal controls, and improving accounting processes and reporting tools. The person in this role will collaborate closely with operations, purchasing, and corporate finance teams, and may support erp implementation or enhancements related to finance and accounting.
qualifications
* strong technical accounting skills, including experience with general ledger, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
* proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
* knowledge of local tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and experience coordinating internal and external audits.
* experience with erp and accounting systems (e.g., sap, oracle, or similar), and solid skills in microsoft excel and other productivity tools.
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; relevant professional certification (e.g., cpa, cma, or local equivalent) is a plus.
* experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably within an international or multinational organization.
* strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
* effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and present financial information clearly.
* professional working proficiency in spanish; english proficiency is highly beneficial for collaboration with global teams.
