we are currently seekingan experienced professional to join our team in the role of nonfinancial risk manager, this role is responsible of facilitatewithin the 1lod (first line of defence) function, is responsiblefor the implementation of the risk management framework.
roleholder provides the support and advisory to risk and control ownerswithin wpb for the maintenance of an effective operational risk andcontrol environment via the execution of the risk and controlassessment (rca) process, provide inputs for identification ofrelevant risks through thematic reviews, issue management andensure adherence to the incident management process to enabletimely reporting.
the role holder would be required to provideco-ordination and expertise to the wpb business teams on allaspects of operational risks including audits and work closely withrisk & control teams across dbs and other global businesses andfunctions focused on the main non-financial risks management.
aimedimpact for this position in business: - ensure that wpb lob has arobust and compliant risk management capability within 'first lineof defence' aligned to the global framework.
- support any projectrelated to the risk management framework according to the r&cglobal plans.
- implement and maintain effective risk & controlframework, which adds value to the wpb businesses.
- support wpbteams in adherence to both internal and external directives from'second line of defence' including but not limited to compliance,financial crime risk, resilience risk, information security risk,business continuity functions, etc.
- assess and report on theadequacy of erm risk and control environment.
- review proposals ofmsiis to validate that all elements have been included andchallenge when there is missing information and tracked untilclosure.
- review the data quality registered/loaded in helios sothere are no exceptions for more than 30 days.
- complete the readacross exercise according to the global methodology.
- support therca refresh processes and support control owners when rtcls (risktaxonomy and control library) are updated.
- support the criticalprocess update according to the framework timeline.
- ensureadherence to group standards, regulatory and group auditrequirements.
- ensure effectiveness of non-financial riskframework throughout the region/country via robust risk controlassessments, operational processes and internal controls.
- ensurelob robust controls in place that operate effectively and areregularly monitored.
- review and process dispensation requestsfrom countries that pertain to the management of risk environment.- effective use of risk tools (including helios, aramis, archer,eim, comet, melody, qlik sense, etc), key indicators and dashboard,msiis and audit database to mitigate risks.
- ensure a costdiscipline, rationalise and consolidate risk expense.
