Sap fico consultant – application support (junior to mid level)
the sap fico consultant – application support is responsible for providing functional support for sap financial accounting and controlling (fico) modules, ensuring system stability, accurate issue resolution, and smooth daily operations.
this is a support-focused role and does not include project implementations, roll-outs, migrations, or full lifecycle projects.
key responsibilities
provide l1/l2 support for sap fico modules (fi / co).
analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional sap fico issues.
support end users with day-to-day finance and controlling related sap incidents and questions.
perform minor configurations and adjustments within sap fico under guidance.
monitor financial processes and ensure system continuity.
document incidents, resolutions, and support processes.
collaborate with senior sap consultants and escalate complex issues when required.
required skills & experience
2 to 6 years of experience in sap fico support.
good functional understanding of fi and/or co processes.
experience working in application support or ams environments.
familiarity with ticketing tools, slas, and support workflows.
strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
willingness to learn and grow within a support-driven role.
nice to have
exposure to month-end closing support.
basic knowledge of sap configuration in fi or co.
previous experience working with global or regional support teams.
