responsibilities
as a controller, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial controlling activities of your unit, ensuring alignment with kone’s financial control model (fcm), global and local accounting standards, and statutory requirements. You will act as the main point of contact for local financial matters, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reporting, while supporting business decisions through financial insights. In this role, you’ll partner closely with kone business services, finance operations teams, and business controllers to ensure smooth execution of closing processes, statutory compliance, and forecasting accuracy. You’ll also contribute to developing and implementing financial policies, managing audits, and ensuring internal control compliance. Your responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, managing reconciliations, supporting strategic decision-making through performance analysis, and advising the business on risks such as foreign exchange exposure. You may also lead a team of finance professionals and support m&a-related activities. Your work will be crucial in ensuring financial integrity, driving operational efficiency, and enabling informed business decisions at both local and global levels.
qualifications
* university degree in finance or a related field
* at least 5 years of professional experience in finance
* knowledge of ifrs as well as local gaap and other relevant local tax and legal legislation
* experience using sap and cpm beacon (sap bpc) or similar application
* experience leading a team of finance professionals
* fluent in english with strong written and verbal communication
* strong collaboration, coordination, and networking skills to drive cross-functional success
* ability to influence and align stakeholders at different levels
