We are seeking a leader to oversee our plant in irapuato, mexico. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing the mexican operation with 640 employees.
your key responsibilities:
* manage overall performance and drive business growth
* develop strategic plans and allocate resources accordingly
* direct report to the headquarters/coo
* plan, organize, direct and execute daily operations to exceed customer expectations: production control and planning, purchasing, logistics, internal assembly and customization
* oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
* boost productivity, efficiency and flexibility of assets, minimize unnecessary costs and maintain quality standards
* responsible for project management, production results, product quality and on-time delivery
* implement strategies in accordance with company initiatives and provide clear direction and focus
* monitor operations and initiate corrective actions with a strong focus on safety procedures
* develop systems and processes that monitor and optimize productivity and standards
* monitoring and enforcement of compliance with occupational safety, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations on site
* represent the organization in front of local institutions & authorities
* motivate employees to take responsibility and ownership of the business regardless of level of position
* demonstrate leadership by fostering an environment of continuous improvement, personal performance and trusting relationships
required skills and qualifications:
* several years of experience in automotive industry
* degree in mechatronics, electronics, finance & business administration or comparable education
* structured and independent work approach
* high attitude towards quality and accuracy
* reliability and adaptability
* ability to work in international environments
* excellent coordination, communication, coaching and mentoring skills
* english and spanish proficiency is mandatory
* german language skills will be an advantage
* high level of self-organization and analytical working methods
* willingness to travel
