We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient jr. Aws cloud architect based in mexico to support our cto and pre-sales team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping cloud solutions for enterprise clients across latin america — from initial discovery through solution design and commercial proposal. You will bridge technical depth with business acumen, helping our clients understand the value of modern aws-powered architectures.
Key responsibilities
partner with the cto to analyze and interpret project and business requirements, translating them into viable cloud architecture recommendations.
Participate in customer-facing discovery and pre-sales meetings, presenting technical solutions with clarity and confidence.
Design and prepare cloud architecture diagrams using aws standard iconography and best practices (e.g., well-architected framework).
Build and maintain accurate aws cost calculator estimates to support commercial proposals and customer decision-making.
Recommend optimized, scalable, and secure aws solutions aligned with client goals and budget constraints.
Prepare and submit aws fund requests (e.g., migration acceleration program, partner opportunity acceleration) on behalf of clients.
Draft statements of work (sows) and technical documentation in collaboration with the cto and pre-sales team.
Collaborate closely with the delivery team to ensure architectural designs are feasible, well-documented, and smoothly handed off.
Stay current with the latest aws services, certifications, and industry trends relevant to latam financial services and enterprise clients.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, best-practice documentation, and dfx5's center of excellence initiatives.
Qualifications & requirements
required
1–3 years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying solutions on aws.
Proficiency with core aws services: ec2, s3, rds, lambda, vpc, iam, cloudformation, and related services.
Experience creating cloud architecture diagrams using tools such as draw.io, lucidchart, or aws architecture center templates.
Familiarity with the aws pricing calculator and cost optimization principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in spanish and english (bilingual required).
Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Based in mexico with eligibility to work in the country.
Hold or be actively pursuing at least one aws certification (e.g., aws solutions architect – associate).
Preferred / nice to have
experience with amazon connect, amazon bedrock, or agentic ai solutions.
Familiarity with aws partner programs, fund requests (map, poa), or aws marketplace.
Exposure to pre-sales or solution consulting in a cloud or technology services environment.
Experience working with financial services clients or regulated industries in latam.
Aws solutions architect – professional or aws cloud practitioner certification.
Experience drafting sows, technical proposals, or commercial documentation.
Working knowledge of devops tools (ci/cd pipelines, docker, terraform, etc.).
