Overview
business development manager (ai / marketing services) at rocket code. Identify, contact, and qualify marketing decision-makers at mid-to-large companies, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities for our commercial team to convert into long-term client relationships.
responsibilities
* lead generation & qualification
* research and identify target companies in e-commerce, retail, fintech, education, travel, and other key sectors
* identify decision-makers (e.g., cmos, heads of marketing, growth leads) and engage them through email, linkedin, and outbound calls
* qualify leads based on business needs, digital maturity, and potential fit with our service offering
* pipeline development
* build, maintain, and expand a robust sales pipeline focusing on high-value, long-term opportunities
* monitor sales metrics and provide insights to refine strategies and improve conversion rates
* cross-functional collaboration
* coordinate with the marketing and content teams to align on campaigns and messaging
* provide context and background to the sales team for a smooth lead handoff
* market intelligence
* stay updated on marketing trends, agency competitors, and industry challenges
* share relevant insights with internal teams to refine outreach strategies
* leadership and brand representation
* represent rocket code at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility
* mentor and support junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence in sales
requirements
* education: bachelor\'s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or related fields. A master\'s degree is preferred
* experience: 4-5 years in lead generation, business development, or inside sales
* previous experience in a marketing agency or b2b service environment is preferred
* familiarity with digital marketing concepts (seo, paid media, automation, analytics, crm)
* existing pipeline of potential clients or demonstrated ability to rapidly build one
* skills and competencies:
o exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
o excellent research and outreach skills; ability to engage and build rapport
o highly organized and self-driven with a "hunter" mindset
o experience using crm systems (hubspot, salesforce) and prospecting tools (e.g., linkedin sales navigator)
* languages: fluent in spanish; english proficiency is a plus
* work modality:
o onsite role in jardines del pedregal, cdmx, from monday to friday 8 am - 5 pm
