position summary
the sales representative will focus on acquiring additional business for new pumps, parts, services, and valves in the oil & gas market, supporting 'house accounts' in the general industry segment, and increasing bookings and customer engagement by 2025. Responsibilities include positioning bgm as the preferred supplier for strategic customers, preparing proposals to meet technical and commercial requirements, following up on proposal status, and visiting customers regularly to ensure successful sales processes. The role covers the central area.
essential responsibilities
* identify sales opportunities proactively in the assigned territory.
* provide technical support to pemex and other clients, including headquarters and end users.
* manage and update the 'master agreement' with pemex.
* deliver proposals to pemex and private companies for aftermarket opportunities, ensuring technical, commercial, and legal compliance within bid deadlines.
* track and follow up on proposal statuses for general industry house accounts, gathering feedback to close sales successfully.
* visit customers weekly to increase face time, clarify proposals, and address technical and commercial concerns.
* coordinate with operations for technical support, delivery times, and competitive pricing.
* participate actively in company conferences, training, and weekly sales meetings, providing updates on proposals and opportunities.
* maintain updated proposal logs and prepare kickoff meetings for new purchase orders.
* lead warranty claims according to internal policies.
* support the credit department with collection issues.
* comply with hse regulations and company policies.
* perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
position requirements
education: bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related fields.
certifications: hydraulic fundamentals, materials, sealing systems, drivers (electric motors, turbines, gas engines).
experience: minimum of 3 years in sales.
technical knowledge:
* at least 3 years in similar roles.
* proficient in english (written and spoken, at least 85%).
* knowledge of rotative equipment, especially centrifugal pumps for general industry/oil and gas.
* understanding of pemex and general industry ehs norms and specifications.
