as a user access auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring secure and compliant access to company systems and data.
you will conduct user access reviews, monitor access controls, and support governance processes to maintain compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with it, business teams, and auditors.
*key responsibilities*
- perform regular *user access recertifications* to ensure employees and third-party users have appropriate access.
- conduct *access audits* to verify that permissions align with security policies and compliance requirements.
- analyze and generate *user access reports* for management review and approval.
- investigate *access discrepancies*, unauthorized access, and potential security risks.
- maintain and improve *identity & access management (iam)* processes, including documentation updates.
- utilize *excel and data analysis tools* to manage access review processes efficiently.
- develop and manage *sharepoint lists and workflows* to support automated access reviews.
- assist in *regulatory audits*, internal audits, and compliance assessments related to user access.
- support *access request and provisioning processes*, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- collaborate with it security, business leaders, and external auditors to ensure best practices in access control.
- provide recommendations to enhance *access governance frameworks* and reduce risk exposure.
*qualifications and skills*:
- 4 year bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 2+ years in user access auditing, it compliance, risk management, or a related field
- strong excel skills (data analysis, formatting)
- understanding of identity & access management (iam) principles
- familiarity with sharepoint for managing access workflows
- strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- understanding of security compliance frameworks is a plus
