position overview
we are seeking a skilled ibm app connect enterprise (ace) integration developer to join our enterprise integration team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of integration solutions using ibm ace as the primary platform, with supporting expertise in spring boot-based microservices. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable integrations that connect our mission-critical business systems.
key responsibilities
* design, develop, and deploy robust integration flows using ibm app connect enterprise (ace) 11/12/13.
* build and maintain message flows using multiple protocols including mq, soap, ftp, jdbc, and kafka.
* develop supporting microservices using java, spring boot, and spring batch where integration logic demands it.
* design and implement restful apis and web services; document them using yaml, swagger, and openapi specifications.
* write and optimize complex sql queries and stored procedures for database interactions.
* handle and transform data across json, xml, and fixed length formats within integration pipelines.
* perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using rfhutil, postman, and soapui.
* contribute to ci/cd pipelines using github and jenkins, following devops best practices.
* participate in safe/agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
* leverage ai-assisted coding tools such as github copilot or cursor ai within intellij idea or vs code.
* collaborate with cloud teams to integrate ace solutions with aws, azure, or gcp environments.
required qualifications
* experience: 5–8 years in it with a strong focus on ibm ace integration development.
* ibm ace: proficient in ibm app connect enterprise 11/12/13; extensive experience in multi-protocol message flow development.
* java / spring boot: solid skills in java, spring framework, spring boot, and spring batch for microservices (secondary to ace).
* api development: hands-on experience designing restful apis; proficiency in yaml, swagger, and openapi.
* database: strong sql skills including complex queries and stored procedures.
* data formats: proficient in json, xml, and fixed length data handling.
* testing: experience with rfhutil, postman, and soapui for integration testing.
* ci/cd: working knowledge of ci/cd using github and jenkins.
* agile: familiarity with safe/agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
* cloud: understanding of at least one cloud platform: aws, azure, or gcp.
* ai tools: experience using github copilot or cursor ai integrated within intellij idea or visual studio code.
preferred qualifications
* ibm ace certification or ibm integration bus (iib) background.
* experience with ibm mq and event-driven architecture patterns.
* familiarity with ibm cloud pak for integration.
