maverick mktg is hiring a *senior video editor* with a sharp cinematic eye and deep storytelling instincts to lead high-impact editing projects across digital platforms.
we're not looking for someone to just cut clips—we're looking for an *experienced visual storyteller* who understands pacing, emotion, rhythm, and composition.
someone who can edit like a filmmaker but deliver for social and digital audiences.
someone who knows how to move people through a screen.
this role sits at the intersection of *cinema and marketing*.
you'll be editing content that drives performance _and_ builds brand — including ads, campaigns, trailers, social assets, and creative pitches.
you'll work with a small, nimble creative team that values experimentation, tight feedback loops, and bold ideas.
*what you'll do*
- edit cinematic brand videos, digital ads, event trailers, and high-performing social content
- translate raw footage into compelling narratives using professional editing techniques
- incorporate motion graphics, text treatments, and sound design to enhance impact
- help develop creative concepts for client campaigns and internal marketing content
- collaborate with producers, designers, and writers to shape final creative output
- maintain organized project files, version control, and delivery across multiple formats
- contribute to the creative direction and evolution of maverick mktg's content quality
*what we're looking for*
- *5+ years* of professional editing experience (agency, production company, or freelance)
- mastery of *premiere pro* (davinci resolve or final cut is a plus)
- strong working knowledge of *cinematography, composition, and visual storytelling*:
- ability to cut to music, design emotion through pacing, and elevate raw footage into polished creative
- experience working with marketing teams, content calendars, and performance-based projects
- fluency in delivering edits across formats: reels, youtube, tiktok, web, paid media, and more
- bonus: motion graphics skills (after effects), color grading, or experience in commercial/film production
