Area manager leading fps/lean transformation and support/staff teams (me, plant engineering and it)
responsibilitiesleads the lean transformation processes and ford production system (fps) in the plant.
it includes sqdcpme operating systems, as well as innovation system, daily management, strategy execution and co-champion of l&d system focused on tech and functional skills.lead the manufacturing engineering team in charge of industrial engineering processes such as line rebalancing, labor efficiencies, tooling and manage the change processes.leads the plant engineering and information technologies (it) teams.
it is responsible to ensure software and hardware operate flawlessly to support production and manufacturing.
plant engineering keeps building and facilities running to guarantee plant operations.collaborating with ford land local and corporate teams to develop, get funding and implement projects to refurbish, modernize and improve building and facilities required to plant operation and employee experience and wellness.qualificationseducational background bachelor's degreein industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, or a related field.master's degree (preferred)in business administration (mba), engineering management, or data science.fully bilingual (spanish/english)lean & operational excellence 8+ years of progressive responsibilities in operations leadership.multiple plant / skill experiences: has worked in different environments and different skill areas (production, engineering, quality, mp&l) to ensure a broad experience level for a leader.deep knowledge of:value stream mapping (vsm)kaizen, 5s, smed, tpmstandard work and visual managementproblem solving methodologies (root cause analysis rca,8d, 5w2w, etc.
)deep expertise in executing shingijutsu and strategy deployment and management events.production operating systems at least 3 years of direct experience in production environment (line supervisor, team manager, area manager)experience designing or deployingproduction systems(e.g., ford production system, toyota production system, danaher business system, etc.
