key responsibilities
* define and implement commercial strategy for mexico in alignment with the company's mission and vision.
* build and lead a high-performing sales and wholesale organization, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture.
* expand wholesale business through territory model, increasing penetration into small and independent retailers while scaling growth with strategic accounts.
* develop and execute business plans for all current and prospect accounts, ensuring sustained growth and profitability.
* lead high-level negotiations with key clients, sales agencies, retail partners, and sport leagues/teams.
* identify and capitalize on new market opportunities across wholesale, multi-brand, and digital channels.
* monitor and analyze performance indicators (kpis) such as revenue growth, profitability, market share, and sell-through.
* research and establish commercial policies including pricing strategies, discount structures, payment terms, and delivery agreements.
* partner and support cross-functional teams to ensure commercial initiatives are fully integrated and executed effectively.

candidate profile & requirements
we are looking for a results-driven leader who develops strategies and leads by example in their execution.
experience and background:
* bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, commercial management, fashion, or related fields (master's degree preferred).
* minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial or sales leadership roles within fashion, apparel, or fast-moving consumer goods (fmcg) industries.
* at least 6 years in a senior leadership role managing teams and driving commercial strategy.
* proven track record in leading large teams and managing complex negotiations with major accounts.
* demonstrated experience scaling businesses from early stages, with in-depth knowledge of the mexican market and a strong network of executives and key players in the sector.
* strong business acumen, analytical skills, and experience in building and executing go-to-market strategies.
* deep understanding of wholesale and retail sales channels, as well as fashion consumer behavior in mexico.
* must have experience in local client management and licensing business models.
* high english proficiency is required (both written and spoken).
* experience in p&l management and strategic planning preferred.
* availability for national and international travel.
