In this role, your responsibilities will be:
1. conduct an analysis of equipment and systems needs in accordance with emerson standards and ensure that operating systems are the corporate versions.
2. maintain updated software versions for business unit use on all equipment, aligning with regulations.
3. ensure, together with the delivery service team, the hardware inventory control in gams.
4. maintain the infrastructure standard up to date according to oneemerson global guidelines.
5. maintain hardware inventory (computer equipment, telecommunication equipment, and peripherals) with the delivery services team at gams.
6. systematically review the status of onprem and solarwinds servers.
7. control hardware unique to the business unit not registered in gams, including alarms.
8. lead contracts and payments for telephony services not handled by delivery service.
9. provide technical support to users and detect needs by conditioning systems according to operational modifications or specific user requirements, supported by myitportal tickets.
10. schedule preventive maintenance for company-owned equipment in the delivery service inventory.
11. support bi and ia teams in project implementation.
12. perform audits to ensure software licenses are compliant and documentation is archived as per corporate or legal requirements.
13. prepare annual budgets for it resources, considering new technologies to streamline and economize services.
14. report total cost of ownership of the it infrastructure and monthly operational costs to aid budget adjustments and objectives.
15. ensure backup of onprem information and routine restoration of files, supervising that the latest version option is configured in file server folders.
16. control tickets system.
17. report electrical installations to ensure they are in adequate condition to protect from power variations.
18. control software licenses and contracts with application suppliers, excluding delivery services.
19. ensure accurate control of access codes (passwords) and align with cybersecurity procedures.
20. establish, maintain, supervise, and test the data recovery plan (drp) at least annually.
21. support compliance with personal data protection laws, implementing controls for critical information.
22. align with quality and it standards, including preventive and corrective actions, and document control.
23. ensure physical security of backup locations, servers, and critical materials to prevent unauthorized access and ensure operational continuity.
24. establish and maintain electronic access controls for restricted areas.
25. support compliance with ctpat and oea programs.
