**What success looks like in this role**:
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive strategies, roadmaps, and architectural blueprints for cloud operations and DevOps initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in the CI/CD domains using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Implement best practices for AWS operations and stay up to date with new AWS services.
- Implement and maintain a self-service Public Cloud PaaS that allows product and project teams to deploy environments for development, testing, and production.
- Ensure the process for deploying environments is fully automated and consistent.
- Proficiency in containerization tools like Vagrant, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Champion automation initiatives to streamline deployment, provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring of cloud resources.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization to maximize the efficiency and scalability of cloud environments.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and related domains, driving continuous learning and improvement.
- Contribute to thought leadership activities, including whitepapers, technical blogs, speaking engagements, and community involvement.
- Hold a Certified AWS Solutions Architect certification.
**You will be successful in this role if you have**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or related roles, with a proven track record of success.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include AWS, CISSP, ITIL, GCP, Terraform Associate.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure services, networking, security, and management tools.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies, with experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
