Job summary
to support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an industrial engineering located in mx guadalajara south.
reporting to the director process engineering, the industrial engineering responsible for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.
what a typical day looks like:
1. provides process time estimation to the quote team.
2. simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using refa, most, witness and or adequate tools.
3. during npi coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
4. reviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to npi and sales team work measurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
5. examines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
6. recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
7. confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
8. may develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
9. develops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
10. designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.
11. manages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like lean, automation and/or six sigma projects
the experience we’re looking to add to our team:
12. bachelor of science in industrial/manufacturing engineering
13. fluent english
14. proficient in autocad
15. experience managing production lines, line balancing, and time studies
16. knowledge of facilities and project follow-up
17. knowledge of lean tools and continuous improvement
18. implementation and participation in kaizen projects
19. analysis of direct labor capacity and time studies
