*position overview*:
the quality engineer - iatf* specialist is responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing procedures, processes and products meet the stringent quality standards, with a specific focus on compliance with iatf *.
this role is crucial for maintaining the high quality and reliability of our automotive products.
*responsibilities*:
1. *quality management system (qms)*:
- develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system in accordance with iatf * standards and customer specific requirements.
- ensure all quality procedures, documentation, and records comply with iatf * requirements.
- support external and conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with iatf *.
2. *process improvement*:
- analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as six sigma, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis.
3. *supplier quality management*:
- collaborate with suppliers to ensure their processes and products meet quality standards.
- conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their compliance with iatf *.
4. *product quality assurance*:
- develop and maintain inspection procedures and criteria.
- manage non-conforming products and coordinate with production to address quality issues.
5. *training and development*:
- provide training and support to employees on quality standards, procedures, internal audits, and best practices.
- foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
*requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in quality engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- proven experience (5+ years) as a quality engineer/auditor, preferably at a tier 1 automotive supplier with a strong focus on iatf * standards.
- certified quality engineer (cqe), and/or iatf * auditor preferred.
- proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., fmea, spc, ppap, apqp).
- familiarity with statistical analysis software and quality management software.
- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- proficiency in microsoft office suite and production management software.
