We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced assistant asset manager to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role is to support the strategic, financial, and operational performance of a property portfolio to maximize value and investor returns. To bridge the gap between high-level investment strategy and day‐to‐day property management, focusing on financial modeling, budgeting, leasing strategies, and capital improvements.
responsibilities
* prepare debt and equity packages for our investments
* periodically compare those to actual performance, and returns vs. underwriting.
* create a business plan for each purchase
* due diligence process - coordinate the inspections and checklists
* communicate to insurance broker needed info for quotes
* calculate preferred returns and disposition waterfalls, and investor distributions.
* first draft of property updates to investors
* assist or lead with update calls with the leasing team of brokers.
* broker market outreach when needed
* prepare and monitor loan draws to fund capex or ti
* review property management reports and assist to oversee property management
* coordinate property tax protest
* coordinate electricity purchase contracts.
* financial modeling for decision making when needed
* think critically and offer opinion on decisions
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* proven experience as an assistant property manager
