job summary

supermicro is looking for a highly experienced and successful enterprise sales manager to sell our broad portfolio of server solutions to large enterprise customers. You must demonstrate past success, have an established network of key decision makers, and possess knowledge of the it industry across a broad range of technologies sold into the enterprise data center environment.

essential duties and responsibilities
* represent and sell the entire super micro portfolio of products and services to large enterprise customers
* establish personal credibility as a trusted advisor to key client decision makers
* research and understand the client's industry; deeply understand client business strategies and challenges
* demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge in aligning super micro capabilities to client business and it priorities, and positioning relative to competitors
* successfully manage all client requirements and requests; visit customers weekly; produce forecast and reports regularly
* may need to work from a home office and communicate with headquarters
* meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin quotas; use margin management techniques
* participate in or drive account team management; orchestrate all super micro resources and sponsorship essential for executing the account business plan
qualifications
* ba or bs degree in business administration preferred
* 5–7+ years of successful enterprise it sales account management experience preferred
* strong relationships with it directors and sourcing managers at enterprise accounts
* strong technical knowledge and understanding of servers, storage, applications, and network
* ability to work well on a team, effectively motivate internal and external team members
* ability to deliver sales results required, and make their manager happy that they were hired
* preferably have knowledge and experience with hpc and/or artificial intelligence clients and projects
salary range

the salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
