Responsible for coordinating the mexico accounting team to ensureaccuraterecording, analysis, and interpretation of financial information, as well as compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements andtimelyreporting to corporate.
main responsibilities:
* oversee theaccurateandtimelyrecording of all company transactions.
* perform monthly trial balance analysis to ensure accuracy andidentifyvariances.
* ensure proper accountingofpayroll, depreciation, amortization, and cost of sales.
* prepare and review financial reports (e.g., income statement by cost center, expense analysis).
* coordinate the monthly closing process and ensure delivery of reports to corporate by the third business day.
* monitor capex project accounting and ensure proper tracking and reporting.
* coordinate fixed asset imports and proper accounting treatment.
* ensure compliance with all tax and legal obligations (provisional payments, electronic accounting, informative returns, foreign investment reporting).
* review andvalidatetax calculations, including provisional and annual tax returns.
* coordinate with external advisors whenrequired.
* supervise proper documentation andsafeguarding ofaccounting, tax, and administrative records.
* coordinate internal and external audit processes.
* ensuretimelyresolution of audit observations and implementation of recommendations.
* collaborate with hr on payroll-related processes (imss, inegi, isn, audits).
* provide support to other departmentsregardingaccounting and financial matters.
* identifyprocess improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies in accounting and reporting processes.
requirements
education:bachelor’s degree in accounting
experience: minimum 5 years in a similar role
language: advanced english (written and spoken)
strong knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting
experience with erp systems
knowledge of mexican tax regulations (sat, imss, isn, etc.)
