about the role
as a sr endpoint security engineer, you will be responsible for:
* deep knowledge of microsoft defender for endpoint (mde) suite, including defender antivirus (av), endpoint detection and response (edr), and data loss prevention (dlp).
* managing client health for microsoft endpoint configuration manager (sccm).
* assessing workstation performance issues related to mdav or mde.
* utilizing reports, logs, scripts, and tools like procmon, mdeclientanalyzer, performance recorder/analyzer for analysis.
* responding to mdav, mde, mecm incidents and requests as a first responder.
* collaborating with subject matter experts on complex issues.
* participating in root cause analysis for incidents.
qualifications
* associate degree or relevant certifications.
* 5+ years it experience, with 2+ years involving sccm and/or intune.
* fluent in english, both written and verbal.
* experience with microsoft defender av & defender for endpoint.
* knowledge of service management concepts like change, configuration, and release management.
* ability to work independently.
* strong troubleshooting skills, especially with client and system logs.
* knowledge of wmi and windows installer.
* proficiency in powershell scripting.
