reporting to the operations training manager, training specialist will be in charge of developing and conducting training programs for employees within the organization.
responsibilities:
* contributes to needs investigation studies to define training opportunities within an organization.
* confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better recognize changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
* formulates teaching outline and define instructional methods such as unipersonal training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
* selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
* identifies or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
* conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading and business development.
* evaluates participants to measure progress and to ascertain effectiveness of training.
* reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
* revises design of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.
qualifications:
* ba/bs degree or a related field.
* prior training experience is preferred.
* preferable experience in smt.
* preferred: experience in liquid cooling or thermal management processes.
* good communication skills and excellent relational skills.
* demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of flex’s functional standards.
* demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid comprehension of flex policies and procedures.
* has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
* use of the following tools may be required: office skills: office software to include, word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
* astd member or certification preferred.
