walter p moore has an immediate opening for a enclosures engineer/consultant to join our diagnostics group. The role involves investigating and determining the service life of building enclosure assemblies, assessing enclosure systems, and designing repairs for existing systems.
responsibilities
* assist project manager with project tasks
* review and organize project-related documents
* research building codes and industry standards
* write assessment reports
* perform field investigations throughout mexico and the us as required
* conduct performance modeling of enclosure assemblies using various software
* analyze proposed repair/design options
* design and draft repair drawings and details
* prepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications
* observe construction and installation of repairs in the field, including quality assurance testing
* prepare site visit reports and meeting minutes
* interact with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors
qualifications
* b.s. in architectural engineering, architecture in building science/enclosures, or historic preservation; master’s degree preferred
* cedula profesional
* driver's license in mexico
* experience in building enclosure design, repair, retrofit, and high-performance building delivery
skills
* microsoft office suite
* autocad, revit, rhino, grasshopper
* building performance modeling software (e.g., energyplus, equest, diva)
* knowledge of exterior wall and roofing systems
* experience working at heights and on scaffolding
