Position summary
the strategic hr business partner (hrbp) position is accountable for driving the business line’s people agenda enabling the delivery of the business strategy and a high performance culture within the hrbp’s assigned perimeter (cac, méxico and special projects for latam). A trusted partner, this position works with senior business leaders to ensure people initiatives help the business to attract, develop, engage and retain employees. Leveraging workforce knowledge and understanding of business needs, the hrbp anticipates risks and opportunities and proactively defines initiatives to contribute to improving the business performance and the operations of the group. To achieve this, the hrbp collaboratively works with the hr centers of expertise (coe) and hr shared services to deliver hr programs and support.
Essential functions / key areas of responsibility
- define the key hr initiatives, and drive the associated action plans, to support business performance and the ability to attract, develop, engage and retain employees in partnership with the leadership team the hrbp supports.
- identify and build leadership and technical capability and growth of a talent pipeline aligned to future business strategy.
- coach, challenge and advise the leadership team to ensure business objectives are delivered.
- innovate hr solutions and provide thought leadership to meet the long and short-term objectives of the business.
- actively contribute to local and thales group people strategy and policies.
- influence business decision-making to ensure hr issues and risk are considered systematically at the earliest possible point.
- analyze the external environment, business and people-related trends to identify and act on opportunities and threats.
- provide data-driven insights to the leadership team and relevant hr function that underpin the business and people strategy.
- actively contribute/ lead special projects focus on support functions, such as engineering attraction, engagement and retention plan, finance and it/is hubs implementation.
- act as key partner to accelerate people engagement topics and initiatives collaborating with the site hr leader.
