*responsibilities*:
- lead, develop and manage the quality organization to enable a high-performance team, thus effective implementation of the quality management system, continuous improvement initiatives.
- report to senior management on the status of the quality management system and quality performance.
- develop and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators (kpis) to measure the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that meets or exceeds applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- create strong and effective relationships with customer and suppliers.
- manage and facilitate the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues.
- ensure quality awareness throughout the organization.
- provide training and development opportunities to the quality team and other employees as needed.
- provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
- develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and regulatory agencies.
- collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives and process improvements.
*education and skills*:
- bachelor's degree in engineering, business or quality management
- minimum of 10 years of experience in a quality management role
- strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. Iso 9001, ts), regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- iso9001:2015 lead auditor certification or demonstrated experience.
- demonstrated experience in leading and managing a quality organization.
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- strong problem-solving and error proofing knowledge
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- proficient spanish and english - written and verbal
- proficiency in data analytics - excel - powerbi
- ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- cqe, cqm or six sigma, lean, or other continuous improvement certifications preferred
