*about this job*:
the labor relations specialist works directly with the labor relations manager to comply with the legal requirements set forth for the employer. They are responsible for drafting documentation related to the employee life cycle, mitigating risk and complying with required time frames.
This position is responsible for partnering with the hrbp's to provide employee care, always in compliance with the law.
*responsibilities*:
- creating and presenting employee contracts
- creating and presenting terminations
- creating write ups and additional disciplinary issuances and keeping record of all issuances along with documentation within ukg.
- working with the labor relations manager on discovery requests brought on by labor law suits
- drafting proposals and process for labor law compliance
- conflict management & negotiation, in partnership with the hr business partners
- employee orientation presentation with the hr business partners
- drafting documentation, work flow processes and establishing audits for employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
- assists in providing employee services and counseling through the company's employee assistance program and nom - 035.
- maintaining hr employee files paper and within the hris system.
- policy development and documentation
- vendor management review in partnership with the labor relations manager.
*requirements*:
- bachelor´s degree (lawyer, business administration, industrial relations)
- excellent communications and presentation skills
- effective classroom delivery & participant management skills.
- must be a self-starter and work with mínimal direction
- highly creative and high energy personality
- able to work efficiently in fast-paced dynamic organization, managing multiple demands and competing priorities.
- strong time management skills.
- excellent written skills and verbally articulated
- bilingual advance english is required
- proficient with ms office: outlook, word, excel, and powerpoint
- labor relations expertise 2+ years
- proficient on federal labor law
- general knowledge in main hr areas: recruiting, personnel administration, compensation & benefits
- ability to handle escalated issues, difficult people and/or situations.
- ability to handle multiple tasks by prioritization.
- computer knowledge, to include microsoft office programs.
- self-motivated and able to learn quickly
- working as a part of a team
