Summary
provide financial and controlling expertise to a multinational company by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance. The controller will be a key partner for the local leadership of mexico while helping set business strategy in line with the global direction and will be responsible of ensuring controlling and financial capabilities are in place for business operations and growth.
duties and responsibilities
* contribute to the definition of the business strategy from the financial point of view. Prepare the annual business budget and supervise its evolution and compliance. Lead on forecasted of revenues, operational ebita, and cash flow.
* responsibility of the financial management for mexico legal entity including strong collaboration in the project review / execution process. Provides input to negotiations on commercial issues. Providing input in local risk review process, invoices in projects, financial accounting, and reporting. Driving and seeking for optimization of cash flow, revenues and gm contribution.
* supporting the organization in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business specific finance directives and instructions. Participating in opportunity/risk identification, monitoring that all required mitigation actions are timely executed.
* establishing cost structures, productivity optimization and capital efficiency while closely monitoring cash flow and taking relevant actions to improve net working capital
* establish the procedure and tools necessary to obtain reliable and transparent financial information.
* provide expert advice on core treasury group policies (and manage any exception requests and approvals) maintain intensive contact with external banks to further business relations.
* show, effectively communicating and interacting within own network and interest groups proactively,
required skills/abilities
* 15+ years of experience in industrial sector; several years’ experience of business controlling roles
* excellent knowledge of processes and tools in finance, including ifrs, us gaap, sox, ms dynamics 365, microsoft navision-business central (user level, desirable), one stream and sap (desirable).
* outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multitask.
* a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* project controlling experience.
* availability to frequent business travel within mexico.
* fluent in english and spanish.
