standard description*:
- *in this role, your responsibilities will be*:
- analyze and prioritize the dispatch list (work order queue), including assessing requirements for personnel, materials, and time.
if necessary, request assistance from the materials department to reschedule work orders.
- in coordination with machining supervisors and leads, verify the condition of equipment and machinery, addressing any anomalies either personally or by engaging the equipment maintenance department.
- ensure that necessary material is correctly staged and address any anomalies or issues regarding material delivery.
- oversee and notify planning to generate supply requirements as needed.
- systematically approve and administer employee timecards.
- actively enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure operation.
- lead and facilitate departmental communication meetings.
- monitor, track, and report on departmental kpis.

experiência y requisitos
- *for this role, you will need*:
- bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineering.
- minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry.
- 3-5 years of direct supervisory experience successfully leading large machining teams (50 to 100 personnel).
- in-depth knowledge of cnc equipment (computer numerical control).
- strong understanding of metal-mechanics processes.
- proficiency in metal treatment techniques.
- excellent communication skills in english and spanish- *preferred qualifications that set you apart*:
- lean manufacturing or six sigma certification (green belt or higher).
- shows financial literacy and an understanding of how operational decisions
- advanced knowledge of tooling, fixture design, and materials science.
- proficiency with an erp system (e.g., sap, oracle) related to materials and production scheduling.
- proven success mentoring supervisors and implementing standardized work (sops).
