scope:
the senior planner ensures that materials are available to meet production requirements and maintains control over material inventory to achieve target levels.
accountabilities:
* responsible for accuracy of inventory records, bill of material and yearly physical count.
* coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
* provide input to management; schedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers.
* work to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
* oversee the master schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.
* ensures the on-time delivery of customers’ orders, zero down time on the lines for lack of materials, optimizing inventory turns and planning engineering changes to minimize obsolescence.
* meets daily with production staff and help with planning schedules.
qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree.
* experience with commodities metals, plastics, wires, electronics.
* 6 or more years of experience in similar position.
* bilingual spanish/english.
