*position*: bi/ reporting engineer

*what you'll be doing*:
- create, maintain and enhance business intelligence components (metadata, reports, metrics, dashboards). In doing so participate in data modeling, business process analysis and development of reporting functional and technical specifications.
- write and maintain technical documentation supporting bi deployments.
- monitor report environment performance, logged errors and system activity to facilitate sla management. Coordinate resolution of issues as needed.
- provide project status and progress updates to bi management team.
*what we are looking for*:
- typically requires a 4-year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- experience analyzing data to support business strategy, identify insights, and drive decisions.
- strong experience with power bi: proficiency in building interactive dashboards and reports.
- experience with etl processes, tools, and methodologies.
- expertise in sql for database querying, management, and optimization.
- practical experience with python and dax.
- excellent verbal and written communication; must be fluent in english.
- excellent analytical skills with the ability to independently solve complex issues and drive improvements.
- ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
