as a controllership manager here at honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the controllership function. You will ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations, and guide the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Your expertise in financial thoughtfulness and insights will facilitate business decision-making, and you will provide guidance and facilitation to cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will impact the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and provide valuable financial thoughtfulness to drive strategic decision-making.
You will report directly to our americas regional finance leader, work closely with the slp center leader on day to day operations and be based of our slp (san luis potosi) office location operating on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and provide valuable financial thoughtfulness to drive strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the controllership function
- ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- guide the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- review and analyze financial statements and reports
- provide financial thoughtfulness and insights to facilitate business decision-making
- manage and develop a team of controllership professionals
- work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency
- interact with global stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination
- transform processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- enable and facilitate m&a activities by providing financial expertise and guidance
you must have
- minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or controllership
- strong knowledge of us gaap and financial reporting
- experience with erp systems and financial consolidation tools
- excellent leadership and people management skills
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
