Subject matter expert vulnerability management
as a vulnerability management sme, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's it infrastructure by providing expert guidance and support to our subsidiaries worldwide. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective mitigation plans for vulnerabilities identified through various scanning tools, ensuring the overall security and resilience of our it systems.
tasks and responsibilities:
● vulnerability assessment: analyze vulnerability scan reports to identify critical and high-risk vulnerabilities within the region.
● mitigation planning: develop and implement comprehensive mitigation plans for identified vulnerabilities, considering factors such as risk, impact, and business priorities.
● risk assessment: conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of vulnerabilities on the business and prioritize mitigation efforts accordingly.
● vendor management: coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure they are compliant with vulnerability management requirements.
● reporting: prepare regular reports on the status of vulnerability management activities within the region, including key metrics and trends.
● incident response: participate in incident response activities when vulnerabilities are exploited, providing expert advice and support.
● collaboration: collaborate with regional and global security teams to share best practices and ensure consistency in vulnerability management processes.
role related competencies:
● bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or relevant experience.
● minimum of 4 years of experience in it security.
● excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● fluency in english, additional languages appreciated.
● experience using rapid7, lacework, invicti, splunk, servicenow platforms is a plus. general competencies.
● good command of the english language.
● proficiency in other languages (helpful but not essential).
● located apac or the americas.
● excellent analytical skills and accurate.
