Our customers look to ugn for localized manufacturing of its latest carpet, underbody, and dash inner insulator technologies, in addition to its core products offered throughout the usa, canada, and mexico.ugn mexico - where innovation, service, and success drive us forward!Please apply with your resume in english.job overviewthe human resources/safety manager partners with corporate human resources, ehs, and plant management to manage compliance with ugn policies and procedures to maintain equitable and consistent development and treatment of our team members. In this role you will administer and monitor policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties with the assistance of plant management. This position is part of our team located at our plant in silao, guanajuato, mexico.what you will do for ugnhuman resourcesrecruit, interview, and select team members to fill vacant positions in the plant facility.plan and conduct new team member orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.ensure records of team member transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, are properly maintained.ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws. Manage consistent and equitable application of ugn policies, disciplinary procedures, and compensation program.advise management in the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.administer performance review and salary administration program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.prepare team member separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.assist managers and shift coordinators with team member concerns, discipline, and interpretation of company policies. Advise team members on matters affecting their employment.allow an open-door forum for team members to voice their questions, concerns, or complaints.investigate complaints regarding team member relations. Represent the organization at legal hearings and investigations.perform training as required for hourly and managerial personnel.participate in plant communication meetings and team member involvement programs.directly manages team members in the human resources department.safetyimplement policies, plans, and procedures required by mexican law. Ensure safety enforcement by department managers.coordinate monthly safety committee meetings and plant safety inspections of work areas and follow up to ensure deficiencies are corrected.utilize investigative procedures, medical counseling, team member communications, and money management strategies to minimize lost time and workers' compensation costs.manage the process of keeping current all plant-written safety information, plans, programs, practices, and procedures.maintain all documentation and accident/injury reports.understand ugn processes, equipment, and facilities as they apply to safety issues.manage the ehs coordinator.what you will bring to ugnbachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.5+ years of human resource generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.strong employee relations/interpersonal communication skills with all levels.team builder with business partner mentality.ability to work in a fast-paced environment where quick decision-making skills are required.ability to prioritize/juggle multiple responsibilities and problem solve.strong verbal and written communication skills in spanish and english.experience leading safety and knowledge of required rules and regulations.
