*as a tactical purchasing specialist, you will*:
purchase components and maintaining up-to-date delivery information based on system messages and supplier feedback
develop excellent supplier relationships that result in emerson being a top priority for our suppliers with cost and delivery in mind.
continually making valuable contributions for the organization through purchasing initiatives by partnering with other departments to support market needs
establish contingency strategies for our core products to ensure on time delivery and quality
participate in the implementation of lean principles throughout the purchasing department
be accountable for inventory steadiness while purchasing to a plan for every part (pfep) replenishment.
promptly settle accounts payable 3-way match incidents
partner with our quality team to quickly resolve any non-conforming product issues
all other day-to-day purchasing related requirements as advised

*required education, experience & skills*:
minimum 5 - 8 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
forward thinking analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks
proficient with erp systems (prefer sap)
advanced excel skills, tableau/power bi experience
availability and documentation to travel.

bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field
international procurement experience.
