Collaborate with corporate credit manager and account payable manager to ensure consistency in process and procedures for north america entities.ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with local and corporate requirements.maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with local accounting standards, statutory requirements, and government reporting obligations.review complex or unusual transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and disclosure.oversee the assessment of reserves, including ar, inventory, environmental, restructuring, incentive compensation, and self-insurance reserves.work with local team members and global treasurer to maintain and improve upon cash forecasting for the mexico entities.collaborate with the various functions including commercial and operations to forecast income statements, balance sheets and longer term cash forecasts.build local budgets from sales, margin and sg&a.maintain local relationships with professionals including auditors and tax advisors, as well as government agencies and similar local representatives.lead and develop the shared services finance team supporting both businesses in mexico, ensuring high performance, accountability, and consistent service delivery.build, coach, and retain high-performing finance talent by fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.partner and influence effectively within a matrixed, global organization, aligning geographically dispersed stakeholders around shared priorities and business outcomes.required skills & capabilitiesstrong business acumen with the ability to balance financial stewardship and commercial outcomes.proven experience as a proactive finance business partner and advisor to senior leaders.demonstrated leadership in shared services, process transformation, and change management.excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate across functions and levels.high degree of ownership, initiative, and comfort operating in a dynamic, evolving environment.fluent in english and spanish.proficiency in microsoft office suite; experience with sap and microsoft dynamics preferred.education & experiencebachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.experience leading teams in a shared services or multi-entity environment.strong background in financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.work environment & physical requirementshybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the mexico city office (up to five days optional).office-based role with prolonged periods of computer and desk work.for reasons of better legibility, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (f/m/d) is avoided.
