The role also involves developing and maintaining project-engineering programs consistent with sound engineering practices, kohler operating system (kos) principles, and company policies to ensure continuous operation, meeting production and cost objectives.specific responsibilitiesprovide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction, and meeting delivery schedules.oversee production processes and suggest changes in working methods or operation sequences to ensure adequate operation and improve efficiency.support the maintenance department in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing processes, tools, and dies.develop and maintain control over labor standards in complex operations.assist in providing training to associates and offer technical guidance to less experienced engineers.monitor and track various plant metrics.assist in implementing the kohler operating system (kos).promote continuous improvements in safety, quality, and cost in plant operations.develop quality projects using lean manufacturing tools to reduce costs and improve results.support teamwork to follow up on established methods after project implementation.skills/requirementseducation and experience:preference for bachelor’s degree in engineering.preference for 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment employing lean systems.knowledge: basic working knowledge of microsoft windows-based software applications.
