this role is client-facing with numerous opportunities to grow within the firm as well as provide meaningful insights and value to our clients. The position is a hybrid of accounting, finance, and tax.
*what will you do*:
- prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
- work on multiple client accounts simultaneously, manage client expectations, and interact with clients directly to get needed information.
- oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
- monitor key financial metrics and provide variance analysis.
- continuously evaluate and streamline accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
- update management reporting schedules around key financial metrics.
- liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals as needed.
- participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
*requirements*:
*what we’ll like about you*:
you have
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; cpa or cpa equivalent certification required
- minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- strong knowledge of us gaap, tax regulations, and other accounting principles and standards
- proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools
- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- ability to work independently and collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization
- strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team
