msc group. Strategically located on mexico's gulf coast, ipm plays a key role
in supporting regional and international trade, ensuring efficient, safe, and
sustainable terminal operations.
position summary
the hr manager will lead all human resources activities for
the altamira terminal, ensuring the effective implementation of hr strategies,
policies, and processes in line with til standards and local labor regulations.
acting as a key business partner to the terminal ceo and a liaison with til's
global hr team in geneva, the hr manager will contribute to building a
high-performing, engaged, and compliant workforce.
key responsibilities
human resources leadership
serve as a strategic hr partner to the terminal ceo and leadership team.
ensure alignment between local hr practices and til's global hr framework.
provide guidance on workforce planning, succession management, and talent development.
recruitment & onboarding
lead end-to-end recruitment for terminal positions, ensuring high-quality hires and adherence to approved headcount plans.
manage onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration of new employees.
employee relations & compliance
oversee employee relations, discipline, and grievance procedures in compliance with mexican labor law.
maintain effective collaboration with labor unions and external authorities, ensuring a constructive social dialogue.
ensure all hr policies, procedures, and employment contracts comply with legal and corporate requirements.
compensation & benefits
administer and continuously review compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
oversee payroll accuracy, statutory deductions, and benefit administration.
learning & development
identify training needs and implement local and corporate training programs to build technical and leadership capabilities.
promote a culture of continuous learning and career growth.
performance management
coordinate the implementation of til's performance evaluation processes.
support managers in setting objectives, providing feedback, and developing employees.
hr administration & reporting
maintain accurate hr data and ensure timely reporting to til hq and local authorities.
oversee hr budgets, personnel records, and audit readiness.
minimum qualifications/experience/skill:
qualifications & experience
bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (master's degree preferred).
minimum 7 years of hr experience, including at least 3 in a managerial role within an industrial, logistics, or port environment.
proven knowledge of mexican labor law and hr best practices.
strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
fluency in spanish and english (written and spoken) is required.

strong organizational and communication skills.
