* 10+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in electronics manufacturing or oem.
* proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
* experience with erp/mrp systems (e.g., sap, oracle).
* analytical mindset with experience in cost modeling and data analysis.
* excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment
preferred skills
* familiarity with npi processes and product lifecycle management.
* knowledge of supply chain risk management and resiliency planning.
* certification such as cpsm, cscp, or cips is a plus.
key responsibilities
* sourcing strategy
* develop and implement category strategies for key components
* analyze market trends, cost drivers, and technology roadmaps to inform sourcing decisions.
* lead make-vs-buy and total cost of ownership (tco) analyses.
* supplier management
* identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers globally.
* build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
* monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, innovation) and drive continuous improvement.
* cost management & negotiation
* lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
* deliver cost reduction initiatives (va/ve, should-cost modeling, benchmarking).
* manage budgets and achieve cost targets.
* cross-functional collaboration
* partner with engineering, operations, quality, and product management teams during npi (new product introduction).
* influence design decisions for cost, manufacturability, and supply resilience.
* support demand planning and inventory optimization.
* risk & supply continuity
* identify supply risks (e.g., single sourcing, geopolitical issues, component shortages).
* develop mitigation plans, including dual sourcing and buffer strategies.
* manage supplier capacity planning and allocation during constraints.
* contract & compliance management
