overview:
the software engineering manager shall be responsible to lead the software development team in the country for advanced driver assistance systems (adas) products
core responsibilities:
- successfully lead mixed team of highly trained and newly graduated engineers in guadalajara and queretaro locations.
- oversee the development and timely software release for our embedded automotive products.
- ensure proper staffing following the hiring plan for the department under supervision.
- establish annual goals for the team members and ensure the achievement of those through proper tracking.
- rigorous tracking of the software quality and continued improvement of the software development processes.
- mentoring and training of software engineers in a dynamic adas software development.

*qualifications*:
required qualifications:
bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
knowledge of software development for embedded automotive systems.
a minimum of three (3) years of team leadership experience is required
proficient with c/c++ programming, can, doors and ms office tools
excellent customer and team skills
substantial experience in a quality focused style of software project management
at least 5 years experience in embedded software development
preferred qualifications:
ms in computer science, ms in computer engineering, ms in electrical engineering
proficient with version control tools and method, preferably mks
mlc process comprehension
knowledge of automotive safety integrity level (asil)
5 years of team leadership experience
8 years of experience in embedded software development
travel:
must be willing to travel internationally, specifically to usa and europe
approximately 10% of time may be spent in other locations
