job summary
* ensure the accomplishment of the quality system in all productive areas according to customer specific requirements, launching and audits.
* manage the quality auditors reporting to the position and follow up required trainings or skills increasement, ensuring corporate and organizational objectives are achieved.
* follow up on all the quality requirements of the customers in assigned projects and the quality requirements defined in the business quality operation system.
* provide customer service and communication to avoid any customer complaint and ensure quick response to any quality issue.
* maintain open communication with quality superintendent and quality manager regarding escalation topics, customer complaints, status, projects, or others.
* develop clear and effective quality inspection methods/routes to eliminate risk of non‑effective inspection due to unclear criteria, inspection method, or inefficient tools.
* coordinate and ensure timely 8‑d answering related to formal and unformal 3 cpr, mqr, cs1/2, customer complaints, internal complaints, implementing effective corrective actions and lessons learned to prevent reoccurrences.
* responsible for containment, rework processes, non‑conformance material disposition, or quality issues inside and outside the plant.
* follow up during launching stages for new projects, ensuring all quality related items are delivered and covered before final release of the project.
* ensure quality auditors are trained in all criteria, inspection methods, and documentation related to assigned projects.
* ensure on‑time completion of product audits and annual revalidations according to the schedule plan.
* support auditors and inspectors when there are doubts about any criteria definition, to release or stop the lines.
* monitor quality costs such as rmas, containment cost, scrap, complaint‑related cost, customer chargeback, debit notes, ensuring timely communication, provisioning, and tracking.
* follow up and spread deviation information as required, ensuring closure on time.
* track non‑conformance material in quarantine related to production lines through weekly meetings with quality auditors, sqa, and q superintendent in the q cage.
* track items identified in quick response boards as qe responsibilities, and other line‑required metrics.
* track special requirements such as cqc audits, cc audits, customer visits and presentations, safety quality concerns or meetings.

qualifications
* bd‑engineering or any major related; english conversational skills proficient.
* automotive tier 1 experience is a must.
* minimum 5 years in automotive industry as quality engineer with focus on airbags (only).
* experience in cushions; create, validate, update cp, ods, spc, ppap, grrs, dimensional reports, capabilities, pfmea, first part release, msa as required.

* responsible for training auditors in all criteria and documentation related to assigned projects.
this position reports to a quality superintendent.
