as a medical device microbiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of medical devices. This involves applying microbiological concepts to the manufacturing process and monitoring its efficacy.
key responsibilities:
1. facility and routine production support: you will provide microbiological support to ensure that the facility and production processes meet the required standards.
2. technical sterilization and laboratory methods support: you will assist in the development and implementation of sterilization methods and laboratory procedures.
3. documentation: you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and writing new or updating existing microbiologically related documents.
4. qualifications and test methods: you will maintain an understanding of applicable standards and apply them to qualifications and test methods.
5. protocol and report writing: you will write protocols and reports for qualifications for sterilization and microbiological test methods.
this role requires knowledge of good laboratory practices (glp's), bacteriology, and lab equipment such as laminar flow hoods, autoclaves, incubators, ph meter, analytical balance, etc. Experience with cofepris audits is a plus, as well as knowledge on iso standards for laboratory testing, feum, fda, usp.
