*summary*:
as a sales manager, whether it’s new business development or account management, you’ll be the driving force behind our success.
*responsibilities*:
- develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the general manufacturing and machine shops industry across africa.
- build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value to their operations.
- conduct market analysis to identify business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- lead and mentor the sales team, setting objectives and tracking performance to ensure targets are met.
- collaborate with the technical team to ensure product offerings meet the specific needs of the manufacturing industry.
- manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and after-sales support.
- prepare and present sales reports, forecasting, and budgeting to senior management.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field; master’s degree is a plus
- background in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, cnc programming and/or cad/cam solutions experience is highly valued
- proven sales experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically with machine shops.
- strong leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse sales team.
- excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- ability to travel extensively across africa.
- proficiency in english; knowledge of additional african languages is an advantage
- availability to travel up to 70% of the time
