*position overview*
this position will lead and supervise centris it teams responsible for various aspects of electrical facilities, infrastructure, networks, and servers as described in detail below.
the it supervisor will be expected to delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance to ensure effective teamwork and achievement of departmental goals.
*main functions*
- electrical facilities management
- oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of electrical systems, power distribution, backup generators, and related infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations.
collaborate with facility management and electrical contractors to address electrical issues, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- network and server management
- plan and manage the deployment of new it infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and hardware, ensuring proper installation and configuration.
- infrastructure deployment
- monitor and manage local area networks (lans), wide area networks (wans), routers, switches, firewalls, and servers to maintain optimal performance and security.
implement network and server configurations, patches, and updates to address vulnerabilities and enhance reliability.
- incident response
- serve as the point of contact for incident response, coordinating efforts to identify, analyze, and mitigate security breaches, system failures, and other critical incidents.
lead incident response teams in developing action plans, communication strategies, and recovery procedures to minimize the impact of incidents.
- technical troubleshooting
- diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical systems, infrastructure, network connectivity, and server performance.
develop troubleshooting procedures and documentation for use by team members.
- documentation and reporting
- maintain accurate records of infrastructure configurations, network topologies, incident response procedures, and maintenance activities.
generate regular reports on system performance, incident trends, and progress toward resolution.
- mission control
- act as a mission control specialist during critical events or emergencies, such as system outages or cybersecurity incidents, ensuring rapid response, resolution, and communication.
provide real-time updates to stakeholders and decision-makers, guiding the response efforts to restore normal operations.
- vendor and stakeholder management
- collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to procure hardware, software, and services necessary for it operations.
engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- continuous improvement:
- identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization in the areas of facilities management, infrastructure deployment, and incident response.
implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, security, and reliability.
- emergency preparedness:
- develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, conducting regular drills to ensure readiness for critical situations.
*position requirements*
- intermediate/ advanced microsoft excel level
- conversational english
- bachelor's in science or engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5+ years experience in technical troubleshooting
- 5+ years experience in call centers is a plus
