we are hiring an
*what you will be doing*:
- create and develop design solutions for educational facilities, primarily classrooms, libraries, student commons, makerspaces, etc.
and may also include faculty offices and other learning spaces on higher ed and k-12 campuses.
- support design efforts to ensure the successful transfer of research insights into design principles for education-specific thought starters, planning ideas, customer presentations, etc.
- work with the education product development team to ensure contextual fit of new products into educational setting types.
- develop design assets to support training of designers, sales, and clients.
- coaches and mentors' others in the execution of active learning solutions.

*required skills and competencies*
- 1 year of experience in a similar role
- bachelor's degree in interior design, industrial design, architecture, or similar
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills in english both written and verbal
- ms office environment proficient
- designing software proficiency in cet, sketch up, autocad, adobe

- project programming and time management skills
- possesses a natural sense of design, design thinking, and the creative process
- creative talents demonstrated in creation of design solutions for interior architecture and interior design problems
- shows proficiency in space planning, rendering and graphic presentation skills
- strong collaboration and team-building skills
- critical thinking, creativity, and analytic skills
- demonstrates knowledge of architectural building practices (centerline building layout, column spacing, window logic, etc.)
- develop knowledge of construction, building systems, codes, architectural detail, furnishings as well as acoustics, lighting, and other appropriate disciplines
- must know how to work with remote teams independently, while contributing to satisfy customer needs for achieving corporate duties.
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills in english both written and verbal
- has confidence and ability to collaborate, ask questions for clarity, defend design thinking, and support the education design team.
