A financial marketplace in mexico (traffic and leads for fintech products) is looking for a sales / business development manager who will build and scale a portfolio of lender partners and be directly responsible for revenue.
responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and acquiring lenders:
* identify and reach out to banks, sofoms, online lenders and fintechs (email, calls, linkedin, conferences).
* prepare and deliver sales presentations: value of traffic, lead quality, case studies.
* open new deals every month and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline.
2. Selling traffic and leads:
* negotiate commercial terms: cpa, cpl, revshare and hybrid models (similar to affiliate / cpa markets).
* agree on kpi definitions for leads: qualified lead definition, approval rate, expected ltv.
* set up postback/tracking schemes together with the technical team (lead status, approvals, rejections).
3. Portfolio and account management:
* act as the main point of contact for lender partners: regular calls, performance reviews, traffic optimization.
* analyze traffic quality per partner: conversion rate, approval rate, returns/chargebacks.
* upsell: increase cpa/cpl rates where justified, extend product coverage, grow volumes.
4. Revenue ownership
* take full ownership of monthly revenue from lender partners.
* understand margin structure: traffic acquisition cost vs. partner payouts.
* work closely with leadership on revenue and cash‐flow forecasting.
requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in b2b sales / business development in one of the following: fintech, online lending, micro‐finance, banking, affiliate / cpa networks (selling traffic or leads for financial offers).
* strong understanding of cpa, cpl, revshare, hybrid models and key metrics: cr, epc, arpu, ltv.
* proven track record of cold sales and closing deals with financial institutions in mexico.
* excellent negotiation skills: able to push for better pricing while preserving long‐term relationships.
* fluent spanish, working english (for communication with international team).
nice to have:
* existing personal network in the mexican lending market (contacts in lending fintechs, sofoms, banks).
* experience as an affiliate / partnerships manager in the financial vertical.
* participation in industry events: finnosummit, lendit fintech, local fintech conferences.
* basic understanding of the regulatory environment: condusef, cnbv, and what is allowed in credit advertising.
